We blame BioShock, as the world of Rapture had us so focused we forgot all about Overlord, which has finally been patched.
The game unfortunately suffered from a number of bugs including a significant fault at the Brewery level that halted many gamers in their tracks. Rather than go back and repeat the adventure (taking steps to avoid the bug) many just opted to wait until the patch was released.
Finally, it is here and sorts out a few issues:
- Brewery spoke resolved
- Health upgrade in Graveyard Khan fight
- Steel upgrade armour before steel smelter
- Mevlin cutscene after Halfling party area
- Forge Exploit
- Mistress requests presence in the bedroom Gnarl VO
- Kill Kahn quest is closed correctly in quest log
- Overlord will no longer get stuck if stood where Minion Gates spawn in final area
- Ultimate Steel/Durium/Arcanium Achievements unlock even if not worn when upgrading
- Multiplayer Ranked Matches wins gained if player disconnects when losing
- Quitting and saving at start of Jewel cutscene no longer blocks quest
Time to dig out the game, or if you haven't purchased Overlord yet, an overdue opportunity to check it out.
The title of this game strikes fear into the hearts of Gamestyle.
