In an exclusive interview with Gamasutra.com, Capcom Vice President of Marketing Charles Bellfield also explained what the story is behind Clover Studios' demise:
"What actually happened is [Shinji] Mikami-san, [Hideki] Kamiya-san and [Atsushi] Inaba-san chose to leave the company and do something else and the rest of the Clover team was just incorporated back into the rest of Capcom's development talent pool."
Keiji Inafune is now heading the team that's working on the unknown Wii title. Development on Resident Evil 5 is still headed by Jun Takeuchi.
Alas, no additional info on either of said titles has been given yet, but stay tuned to Gamestyle in case any news breaks.
